4 Simple Stress Buster

Posted by cgiadmin | November 22, 2016 | Symptoms, Uncategorized, Wellness

Everyone has stress. It’s a fact that we can’t ignore. It can often be good, but when stress stays with you for prolonged periods of time, it begins to negatively affect the body. Headaches, migraines, and stiffness in the neck are all common signs of this prolonged issue.
So what can you do?
Believe it or not a few simple steps can trigger relief from your symptoms.

Your body produces a surge of hormones when you’re in a stressful situation. These hormones temporarily increase your blood pressure by causing your heart to beat faster and your blood vessels to narrow. There’s no proof that stress by itself causes long-term high blood pressure.

    1. Roll your shoulders up and back 5 times, then rotate your head and neck to one side 5 times, then the other side 5 times. Repeat this throughout the day.
    2. Massage the back of your neck. Stimulate the “Freedom Point” by reach behind your head, at the base of the skull, and press the bottom of the biggest bump that you feel.
    3. Shake out your head to shake out the stress.
    4. Place a cool towel at the base of your neck to cool your head.
